ART BY ALDONA JOURNEY

A harbor at sunset with colorful houseboats reflected in calm water and a city skyline in the background.
Marina with boats docked, including a blue boathouse on the left and a red and white houseboat on the right, mountains and trees in the background, and a bear weather vane on a pole.
A shaded drawing of a sphere with a shadow on a flat surface, with a rectangular border framing the composition and a gradient bar at the top.

The journey began with photography and its composition, continuing to exploration of colours, moving to engaging methods of relaxation for the human mind and spirit.

"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." - Pablo Picasso

Aldona is a visual artist based in Port Moody, painting primarily in acrylics, and drawing using mixed media. Her work is inspired by the beauty in nature and she aspires to tell the ever-evolving story of interconnectedness.  Her subject matter ranges from landscapes, floral, animals to abstract.

Through art Aldona deepens understanding that instant gratification is not realistic and she tries to practice painting as a form of meditative approach to life and being in a moment.

Aldona’s epic art adventure places her studying with other more talented people at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design where she remains astonished by the kindness of human interaction and creativity of her fellow art students.
